Woodsong – The House of the Harp in the Galilee – Rosh Pinna
25 km and about a 26-minute drive north of the Or Bereshit cabin in Amirim, in the city of Safed, you will find Art Cafe—food, coffee, and art.
The studio, located at the entrance to Rosh Pinna, combines a workshop for building harps and unique musical instruments with a display gallery.
The musical instruments are handcrafted from wood, inspired by musical instruments from around the world. The artist and creator Peter Isacowitz tells visitors about the various musical instruments and demonstrates their use, including: a large selection of door harps, Irish (Celtic) harp, belly harp (for healing and pregnant women), kalimba, musical table, didgeridoo, marimba, and more.
By prior arrangement and for a fee, Peter welcomes groups for a “mini concert” on the instruments—up to 30 people.
In Peter’s words: “To take a tree that was cut down, and grant it life through the melody it plays—this is the essence of creation at Woodsong.”
Looking forward to seeing you in our special studio!
