A Recreation and Recuperation Enterprise Opens in Amirim
Written by a Correspondent for Davar Newspaper – Safed, June 30, 1965
Yesterday, members of the vegan and vegetarian village of Amirim presented to journalists 13 charming summer cabins that were established with the help of the Jewish Agency for recreation and recuperation purposes, and were made available to vacationers this very year.
The village secretary of Amirim, Moshe Zarhi, and a member of the recreation committee, Dalia Cohen, reported that a day of recuperation in the cabins adjacent to the homes of the village members would cost 21 IL, and a residential cabin with kitchen access would cost 7 IL per day.
The recuperation season in Amirim will continue year-round, and the Moshavim Movement and the Ministry of Agriculture will direct vacationing farmers to the village for training in the country.
